June Construction Update

Jun 7, 2021

ONE MORE POUR. It felt like it would never come – the time where construction updates for Lied Place Residences would include more than just concrete pours and windows. Now standing at 233’ 10” with the final pour in sight, the building is prepared for a different focus, and the concrete crews are ready to celebrate.

That focus is moving inward, starting cabinet, tile, and other finish work on Level 8 through Level 11.  Painting is complete up to Level 12, and drywall is installed to Level 14. Workers are currently framing Level 18, starting rough-in for Level 17, and installing windows on Level 18. Though there are thousands of details to coordinate, the building has followed a simple, curated process where enclosure follows height, rough-in follows framing, painting follows drywall, and beautiful finishes complete the course.

Throughout all phases, the project’s Construction Manager has built and maintained relationships with site neighbors to ensure citizen safety and streamline local business operations. Across the street, the Lied Center is open for dance troupes, school outings, and shows, which has required consistent communication to eliminate the impact of construction for their patrons.
