Interior Design

As arctic temperatures cover the state, interest in Lied Place Residences is heating up with 60% of the units already committed to enthusiastic buyers. Framing, drywall, and paint on the lower levels offer visual signposts toward the future living spaces of this intriguing, high-profile structure.

To secure quality finishes for this important development, Lied Place hired Sinclair Hille, a full-service architecture and interior design firm founded in Lincoln 40 years ago. Kjersten Tucker is Sinclair Hille’s Lead Interior Architect, currently focusing on expanding the firm’s interior design offerings. A Seward native, her love for science and art collided in the world of architecture, and she particularly enjoys the journey of helping clients create color palettes and custom arrangements to add depth to their spaces.

When clients place a deposit on a Lied Place unit, the realtors introduce the buyers to Kjersten and her team. Together, they sit down to discuss the floorplan and available range of finishes, as well as take a virtual reality tour through their future home. With a virtual reality headset, clients can explore the corners of their unit, reaching out to “touch” countertops, cabinets, and closet doors. The most beautiful part of this virtual tour, Kjersten says, is the elevation-accurate skyline views stitched into each floor plan, taken with drone footage.

After clients sign the dotted line, the team meets again to listen to buyer questions, discuss appliances and plumbing fixtures, and negotiate the details of each room within their unit. Kjersten has previously worked with condominium developers who offered a meager selection of three finish variations, but Lied Place is unique in its desire to provide enough customization for residents to tailor homes to their personal style. Sinclair Hille partnered with interior designer Geri True to coordinate this variety of flooring, countertops, cabinets, and supplemental finishes.

In addition to helping buyers make selections for their future homes, Kjersten is also responsible for the interior architecture of the first-floor restaurant and the building’s office spaces. Lied Place is rare, she says, in the level of care and quality the developers are providing to their buyers. In every way, it seems, Lied Place Residences is ascending above the rest.
