January Construction Update

Jan 6, 2021

While the community slowed down for the holidays, construction on Lied Place Residences kept pace and continued focus on moving the structure upward into the Lincoln skyline. Elevators will be brought on site this month to advance progress, beginning the complex installation process

The week before Christmas, concrete for the Level 17 Deck was poured, with Level 18 scheduled early this month. The construction team began framing  exterior walls on Level 14, with interior walls complete up to Level 12. Glass for levels 10 and 11 will be placed in the coming weeks, along with  corresponding mechanical, electrical, and plumbing preparations. Down below on Level 8, the crew is currently installing  insulation and drywall to keep residents warm in future winters. While Lincoln residents battle a cold, snowy winter, granite for the building’s north face is being shipped in from warm Brazil.

With a small footprint, the construction team continues to work with surrounding neighbors and the City of Lincoln regarding lane closures for concrete pours and other activities. Nearing its peak, this skinny scraper is currently at 177 feet, with only 71 feet to go.
